Preheat your oven to 350°F. Melt your butter on the stove or in the microwave by heating on high in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until completely liquefied. Set melted butter aside to cool.
⅔ tablespoons unsalted butterCut your bread into cubes, about 1-inch long on each side, and set aside.
⅕ loaf stale bread, preferably white, challah, brioche, or FrenchIn a large mixing bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, salt and your cooled melted butter. Fold in your cubed bread and stir to coat.
